A Study Close to My Heart . . .
Study on Your Own or in a Group
When God uses other people to establish you in His Word and to help you grow up in the faith it lights a fire in you to be available for Him to use you in a similar way. While I am fully engaged in whatever study I'm writing, Influence: Living and Sharing a Life of Wisdom holds a special place in my heart because I wrote it with my mentor—Jan Silvious. In Influence we look throughout Scripture to examine the various places the concept of mentoring shows up and what we can learn. A few accounts you can probably guess, but many you won't, especially those where mentoring happened in the moment or from afar. We also consider the challenge of bad outcomes. As much as we hope that every mentoring encounter will turn out great, there's no denying that that isn't always this case. Even Jesus had Judas.
Whether your in a mentoring relationship, would like to be, or you're just checking out the concept, you can download the Week One Lesson for a free sample.
