Bible-Reading Retreat, January 20–22, 2023
Set aside the weekend of January 20–22 for an extended time reading God’s Word aloud . . . together!
The Basics:
We’ll meet at my house in suburban Chicago for a weekend in God’s Word—Matthew, Proverbs, Leviticus and Hebrews together, Romans, and part of the Psalms! You’ll enjoy the fellowship of other women and a time of quiet away from the noise of the world. No stress, no cooking, no obligations, just time with the Lord and others who love Him.
Lodging:
We can sleep eight in proper beds plus two more in fun chairs that pull out into single beds for a total of ten. If you’re coming in from out of town, plan to stay here. Locals, you can stay here or commute if you prefer.
The Number:
Ten to Fifteen
We’ll read in small groups of five people per group and switch up groups throughout the weekend.
The Cost:
$100 is the suggested donation. If you can’t give this much or if you want to give more, please just ask the Lord what to give and give that amount.
You can give at this link:
Your gift will be tax-deductible through New Hope Christian Community Church. (Since we are still learning all of this, it is possible that an accountant will tell me that your gift over cost—that is food—will be tax-deductible.)
The Next Step:
Send me an email and let me know that you’re coming and if you have any food allergies or special needs.
While this is by invitation only, please reach out to me if there is someone you would like to invite to join us.
Your simple “Yes” holds your place, a “No” from you and I will extend that invite to another. Email me at pamgillaspie@gmail.com to respond or with any questions.
