Bible-Reading Retreat, November 11-13—Final Details
I can’t wait to get started this weekend! Here are the final details for what to expect, what to bring, and some info that I need from you!
The Basics:
We’ll meet at my house in suburban Chicago (827 Hartford Drive, Gurnee) for a weekend in God’s Word. You’ll enjoy the fellowship of other women and a time of quiet away from the noise of the world. No stress, no cooking, no obligations, just time with the Lord and others who love Him.
Lodging:
Unless you’ve told me otherwise, I’m assuming that you will be staying here. Locals are more than welcome to commute, but we have purchased new beds and mattresses specifically to be able to host these retreats. You may be sharing a room, but you will not be sharing a bed.
The Number:
We’ll read in small groups of three to five people per group and switch up groups throughout the weekend.
The Cost:
$100 will help us to cover costs. If you don’t have the means right now, reach out to me and we’ll work something out. There’s a link at the bottom of the page if you still need to do this.
What to Bring:
Bring your favorite Bible, comfortable clothes, and anything else you need for a weekend away.
We have the beds, pillows, blankets, towels, reading glasses, and even the 135-pound “therapy dog”! ;)
What I Need to Know:
• Do you have any food allergies?
• What are your snack favorites?
Please put these in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
Arrival Time:
Plan to arrive between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. on Friday as we’ll have dinner at 6:00 p.m. You are welcome to arrive earlier, but if you do, I will put you to work! :)
